Postpartum Doula Services

My goal is to do whatever I can to insure that the new mother is rested and relaxed, allowing her and her baby to receive nurturing care. I encourage the partner's involvement by providing training and support. Whenever possible, I model ways for the partner and other family members to nurture the mother.

Postpartum care can be provided in daytime hours or at night, whether you are still in the hospital or have returned home.  It is available anywhere from  a few days to several months.  Families help design a support plan that will meet the unique needs for the new mom, newborn, and siblling care.

I am available to:

       -- assist with
  • newborn care
  • family adjustment
  • meal preparation
  • light household tasks

-- offer evidence-based information on

  • infant feeding
  • emotional and physical recovery from birth
  • infant soothing and coping skills

-- provide non-judgmental support

-- provide referrals to resources in the community

Cost

  • $25 daytime (minimum 4 hour blocks)
  • $30 nighttime (minimum 8 hour blocks)
